Yomi is an AI-powered RSS reader with audio briefings, developed by Neo Liao. This policy explains what data Yomi handles and how.

The Short Version

Yomi does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. All your data stays on your device.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData and UserDefaults:

• RSS feed URLs you subscribe to
• Fetched article content, summaries, and audio files
• Read state, favorites, and playback progress
• Your settings (API endpoints, voice preferences, etc.)

This data is not transmitted to us or any third party. It is not backed up to any cloud service we operate.

Third-Party Services

Yomi connects to external services that you configure. These connections are initiated by you and go directly from your device to those services:

• RSS feed servers — to fetch articles from the feeds you subscribe to
• LLM API — to generate article summaries and audio scripts. The API endpoint is configured by you in Settings. Article content is sent to this endpoint for processing.
• Text-to-Speech service — to convert text into audio. Yomi uses Microsoft Edge TTS via WebSocket.

We do not control these third-party services. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for information about how they handle data.

No Tracking or Analytics

Yomi does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking mechanisms. We do not collect crash reports, usage statistics, or device information.

No Account Required

Yomi does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

Children's Privacy

Yomi does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
